The annual Autumn Symposium of the Finnish Association of Applied Linguistics (AFinLA) is to be held at the University of Applied Sciences, in Tampere, Finland. The event will be held from November 12-13, 2009.

Please come and join us. Our guest plenary speakers come from around Europe: Anna Mauranen from Finland, Keith Richards from England and Balázs Heidrich from Hungary. The focus areas of the conference include (1) professional communication, (2) education, and (3) culture and how they all come together.
